Re-designing an international card series.

Finding the link between two distinct identities.

In London and Geneva, Butterfield Bank is synonymous with private banking, while across the Caribbean, it’s the familiar community bank. To move the brand upscale with a unified identity comfortable to both audiences, Butterfield selected a new design which evokes the islands where the bank is headquartered.

Shamlian Creative collaborated with card printers in the US, the UK and Spain

to deliver nearly 30 new MasterCard and Visa cards, including credit and debit cards, consumer & business cards, affinity cards, and cards for varied currencies, We also developed a card hierarchy through the use of color, created a Brand Standards Manual, and provided an online resource for easy access to the latest art and mechanical files.
